To Go On Awesome Company Trips

If you enjoy traveling or would like to enjoy doing more traveling, forming your own corporation for your business is a tremendous way to take advantage of one of the many benefits that the government affords legitimate business.

Your corporation is required to hold shareholders and directors meetings on a regular basis, and the cool thing is that these meetings can be called at any location in the world. So why not arrange for your board of directors meeting or shareholders meeting to coincide with a particular destination that you would like to experience? No reason not to! This is your right and privilege as a corporation.

As an example, two years ago my wife and I went on a trip to Europe, and spent time in some of the most beautiful hotels and vacation spots in the world. Better yet, our corporations payed for it all! Why? Because we, as directors of our corporations, called corporate meetings in those locations. It was great!

An added benefit of that trip, too, was that even though it was not a "business" trip in any other aspect than holding those meetings -- since then, we have used things we saw and experienced in our businesses many times. The education and exposure to new experiences is very useful to our business.

We oftentimes have clients who are concerned about using this procedure. The problem that's happening with those who have a hard time grasping the ease and, shall I say, validity of this, is that they are still hung up on the egregious hoops that the IRS makes those who are self-employed jump through. This is an important point to be made: You are not "self-employed" -- you are a real business when you're using a corporation in good standing. To put this into perspective -- do you think that when Donald Trump travels around the world it's on his dime, or is one of his corporations picking up the tab?
